Jewel Beetles are wood-boring beetles, which live in the rainforests of Asia (ours come from Thailand) and the use of the Jewel Beetle’s wings in art dates back centuries. Jewel Beetles have a very short lifespan, only 3-4 weeks, so their wings are harvested from the rainforest floor after the beetles have died of natural causes.
